The Angry Motivator (“the app”, “we”) gives you motivational lines, audios, wallpapers and widgets from a crew of very impatient stick men. It is run by Scalaze Negócios Digitais LTDA (CNPJ 54.197.254/0001-70). This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the app, and how to get your data deleted. Questions: support@angrymotivator.com.
Who we are
- Controller: Scalaze Negócios Digitais LTDA, operating as The Angry Motivator.
- CNPJ: 54.197.254/0001-70
- Registered address: Rodovia José Carlos Daux, 5500, Sala 211, Bloco Campeche A, Saco Grande, Florianópolis, SC, 88032-005, Brazil
- Data Protection Officer (Encarregado, LGPD art. 41): support@angrymotivator.com
What we collect
Your account
- Without signing in you use the app as a guest. We create an anonymous account identifier so your progress can be saved; it is not linked to your name or email.
- If you sign in with a code sent to your email, with Google or with Apple, we receive your email address (with Apple’s “Hide My Email”, a private relay address) and the sign-in provider. We never see your Google or Apple password.
- A display name, only if you type one in.
How you use the app
- Your settings: language, anger level, chosen coaches, reminder times and widget style.
- Your progress: lines read (by day), favorites, streak, badges, daily gifts and the audio tracks you have heard to the end.
- This is saved on your phone, and copied to your account when you are signed in, so it follows you to another phone.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime plan are sold by Google Play or the App Store. We receive the status of your purchase (plan, start and end dates, renewals, refunds) through RevenueCat, linked to your account identifier. We never receive your card or bank details.
If you bought our course The Angry Advantage System, Stripe (which processed that payment) tells us the email you bought with and whether the purchase was paid or refunded. We use it only to give you lifetime Premium when you sign in with that email, and to email you how to claim it.
Ads
The free version may show ads from Google AdMob. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), we ask for your consent first through Google’s consent message, and you can change it at any time. AdMob may use your device’s advertising identifier, IP address and ad interactions to show, limit and measure ads. Premium members see no ads. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Crash reports
When the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a report with the error, the app version, your phone model and operating system, and an installation identifier. We use it only to find and fix bugs.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on your phone. We do not collect a push-notification token.
This website
Our homepage uses Google Analytics to count visits, with Google signals and ad personalization turned off. If you delete your account here, we use the email you enter only to send the confirmation code.
Why we use it
- To run the app and your account, keep your progress and sync it between phones (performance of our contract with you).
- To provide what you bought and handle renewals and refunds (contract, and legal obligations for records the stores keep).
- To fix crashes and keep the service secure (our legitimate interest in a working, safe app).
- To show ads in the free version, with consent where required.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles ourselves.
Who processes it for us
We share data only with the companies that run parts of the app for us, under their data-processing terms:
- Google Firebase: sign-in and crash reports.
- Vercel: our servers and website. Neon: our database. Cloudflare: storage and delivery of audio and images.
- RevenueCat, Google Play and Apple: purchases. Stripe: course purchases that include Premium.
- Google AdMob: ads in the free version.
- Brevo: sending sign-in and confirmation codes by email.
We also use OpenAI and ElevenLabs to translate and dub our own lines and audio. They receive our content, never your personal data. Some of these providers process data in the United States and other countries, under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Your account data stays while your account exists. When you delete your account, it is removed from our live systems immediately and from backups within 30 days. Purchase records are also kept by Google or Apple under their own policies. Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days.
Delete your account
In the app: Me → Settings (the gear) → Delete account. Without the app: angrymotivator.com/delete-account. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in Google Play or the App Store.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EU and UK GDPR, Brazil’s LGPD or California’s CCPA), you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, object to or restrict some uses, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to support@angrymotivator.com; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to Brazil’s ANPD or to the data-protection authority in your country.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and its coaches use strong language. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, write to support@angrymotivator.com and we will delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to our systems is restricted to the people who run the app, and administrator access requires a password sign-in.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date above, and tell you in the app when the change is significant.
